TripProximity is the core smart trip technology that powers the various products offered by the Company.  The TravelingToGive brand is an extension of that offering, for non-profit organizations.  The product was first launched in the marketplace in 2015.

The company was formed in the early 2000s as an incubator of a global strategic advisory services firm, the Game Changer Network (GCN).  That firm was originally founded by Chicke Fitzgerald in 1996 to provide consulting services to the top names in the travel industry.  The organization also worked with the investment community on mergers and acquisitions in the travel tech space.

There are many companies that provide the basic components of trip planning, but the innovation that is needed in the travel industry isn’t “what” is being done, it is the “why” and the “how”.

Our WHY is around being the company that makes it easier to do business face to face and to “be there” for life’s events.  So much of our world has moved into the digital realm, we lose the power of being there, building relationships and even building memories.

The HOW is equally important.  We integrate smart trip planning into the sites and systems that travelers use every day.   By making it a seamless progression from the catalyst for a trip (buying a ticket to a concert, finding an assisted living facility that you think that your mom would like, getting invited to a wedding, planning a trip to see your best friend from college, confirming a meeting that could change your company’s future) to making an offer of a hotel nearby and offering driving directions and even car and air, we efficiently tap into the long tail of the world’s largest industry.

The traditional travel industry players market to travelers, one traveler at a time.  And after two decades of being online, Expedia and Priceline/Booking.com still spend $10b annually on brand marketing.  If their products stood alone in building brand loyalty, this would not be necessary.  But travelers are fickle and we think that delivering convenience, at the time of the catalyst for travel is a much better approach.
