billion trips taken in the US annually over 75 miles from home. Of
those, 85% are by car, motorcycle or RV. The travel industry has
singularly focused on the 15% that fly and the mapping and navigation
companies focus on the point to point traveler. Location based content
companies assume that you are local versus being a traveler to the
region. At the end of the day, the consumer has to do a significant amount of work to
plan a drive trip.
Project 85 is about rallying the travel,
mapping, navigation and content industries to reach the mobile
generation with an integrated journey planning service.

interest that span a wide range of categories, the ability to insert the
address of friends or family and the ability to easily search nearby anything for anything else and to look along the corridor of your route for what to see and do.
